We are India’s only company establishing scientific protocols for the Agri drone tech application.

We are working with premier institutes - ICRISAT, RICH, PJTSAU - to develop crop specific field parameters for drone operations including but not limited to optimal flying range, chemicals’ application amount and period of application.

Our agriculture research bridges the gap between drone technology and drone application in the sector.

For Agri Automation, we are working with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University(PJTSAU)

Cotton

Location:
RARS, Warangal and selected farmer's field

A cotton field undergoes atleast 30-35 applications of pesticides during its growth period- this is a result of cotton being sensitive to pests. We are establishing diagnosis protocols with the end goal of reducing the number of spraying through 100% accurate identification of infestations.

Paddy

Location:
Rice Research Centre, ARI, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad

For paddy, our main focus is in utilising drones for eliminating manual dependency in fields. For this, we are working to automate the process from pre-sowing fertilizer application through sowing to pesticide application and water management.

Groundnut

Location:
RARS, palem and selected farmers field

For Groundnut, we plan to establish drone advantage in plantation monitoring, surveillance and chemical application. We are establishing the optimal height of flight to preserve maximum flowering in the process.

Red Gram

Location:
ARS; Tandur and Ekmai village(adopted village), Basheerabad Mandal

We focus on hormone application research to identify optimal type and period of application based on identified deficiencies. We hope to generate optimal yields with the process. Also, we are gathering data for hyper special image based yield estimation algorithms - especially since Red Gram is mostly cultivated through mixed cropping.

P rimary objectives

  • To study and standardize drone operating procedures for plant protection.
  • To evaluate the efficacy of pesticides against various insect pests and diseases and develop crop specific SOPs for pesticide use by drones
  • Identifying special chemical formulations, adjuvants and optimizing their dosage.
  • To study the impact on beneficial fauna including avian fauna.
  • To test soil and water quality and grain samples for pesticide residues

What we aim is to develop protocols based on plant traits like Canopy, plant height, biomass - what is known as high throughput plant phenotyping - from the drone imagery. Our end objective is to establishe the standards as per the requirements expressed by the DGCA in association with FICCI.

For Agri Intelligence, we are working with International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT)

Maize

For Maize, we are developing baselines for traits like plant height, leaf senescence, lodging, Microplot lodging %, Days to 50% anthesis, leaf rolling, and disease recognition.
